Equipment Donated in 2024
It was a big year this year for Auxiliary donations to Eagle Ridge Hospital, with a $100,000 donation towards this year’s wish list. Also, in partnership with The Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation we have promised a donation of $125,000 towards two Orthopedic Video Towers to be used in the OR at Eagle Ridge Hospital.
Here is a description of the Orthopedic Video Tower – Thanks to the Foundation
The surgical suites at Eagle Ridge Hospital support nine surgical services, including orthopedics; last year alone, over 5,300 surgeries were performed. Close to 1,400 of those surgeries were orthopedic cases-of these, almost 70% would have benefited from a new Orthopedic Video Tower. A state-of-the-art Orthopedic Video Tower allows optimal visualization of the surgical field, enabling intricate and accurate surgical interventions, detailing shadows and highlights.
The tower also supports advanced instruments and equipment; allowing surgeons to offer the newest surgical techniques, giving the patient the best possible outcome to return to an active life.
Not only will this new tower positively impact patient recovery but will also optimize the efficiency of valuable OR time.
